Windows 7 Reviews: Sneak Peaks, Tests, and Benchmarks

Now you see them...I know many of you probably fall into one of the following two categories:

  • Windows Vista user – because it came with my new computer and I don’t know how to install Windows XP!
  • Windows XP user – because I heard so many bad stories about Windows Vista that I won’t upgrade until forced to do so!

If you haven’t been paying attention, Windows 7 has been generating a great deal of (mostly positive) buzz online and in the news.  Windows 7, the next generation Microsoft operating system (OS), has been touted as the OS that shows what Windows Vista should have been.  If you’ve been holding off on an upgrade to Windows Vista, or currently have Vista and hate it, you may want to read through these articles about Windows 7.  From everything I’ve read, it will definitely be worth the upgrade when made available to the masses.

If you’re semi-adventurous and would like a sneak peak, you can download the “release candidate” of Windows 7 to install on your PC.

Windows 7 looks like a great, stable OS that should help with productivity on a day-to-day basis.  Personally, I’m excited for the streamlined desktop experience, Jump Lists, and a chance to test Windows 7’s claims of near flawless compatibility with accessories and software!
