Just an FYI:
If you’re an avid reader, but haven’t wanted to pony up the cash for one of Amazon’s Kindle e-Readers just yet, today may be a good day to take another look. Amazon just announced a $40 price cut for the 2nd Generation Kindle down to $259. Additionally, they just announced a version of the Kindle with US and International wireless for $279. This means you can download books and read periodicals when you travel abroad.
A couple of neat Kindle features:
- Super Slim (around 1/3rd of an Inch) and Lightweight
- Entire Books downloaded in less than a minute, with a 1500 book capacity
- Long battery life goes days without a recharge
- Choose from a library of over 350,000 books, plus magazines, newspapers, and blogs
- Download the first chapter free to decide whether you want to buy a book
- Book prices are generally low, with best sellers and new releases $9.99
As I mentioned, if you’re on the fence, now is the time to get one. This may be a good time to get one and stash it away for your loved ones as a Holiday gift.
*UPDATE* Amazon is also running a Sweepstakes for the 10th Anniversary of Amazon Wishlists. Simply create, add-to, or share a wishlist and you’ll be invited to enter. It runs for 10 weeks, and the prize list looks AWESOME!
