I agree that it does appear CLoudWays offers managed WordPress hosting. However, they appear to manage WordPress installs hosted on a variety of “generic use” 3rd-party cloud providers, such as Rackspace, Amazon, etc. WPEngine.com owns and maintains their own hosting infrastructure, and optimize it strictly for WordPress. Additionally, the basic “pick and go” plan at CloudWays is only $5/month cheaper, and does not appear to include management unless you call them to discuss an added fee.
