Archos Internet Tablet – Ultimate Personal Media and Internet Device

image If you’re looking for the ultimate personal media player, you won’t find it at the Apple store.  Amazon just listed the Archos 5 Internet Tablet for $390.  While it may be a bit pricey, this thing has pretty much ALL the bells and whistles you could ask for in a device which can surf the Internet and handle all your media files.

If you’re not familiar with this device, here’s a quick rundown:

  • Android Powered – Expect lots of applications for this thing in the near future!
  • 160GB capacity – over 47 thousand songs, 100 movies, or a million photos
  • 10 hours of audio and 4 hours of video on a single charge
  • Supports a large number of audio/video formats
  • Wi-fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.0, FM Transmitter and receiver (RDS).
  • Video Recording with an optional DVR Dock
  • Built-in GPS receiver
As you can imagine, it also provides the ability to surf the web. Never again will you be bored waiting at the airport terminal, or waiting on your hair appointment.  The Archos 5 will basically cover all your bases with much more flair than the latest iPod Touch.

How to Choose Between Online Backup Service Providers (eHow)

Photo by Stewart (Flickr)After all the articles I’ve written on the merits of Online Backup, I thought it worthwhile to compile those thoughts into an eHow article for the Internet masses.  Each of the different service providers offer different feature sets, work with different types of devices and/or Operating systems, and it seems like it could quickly and easily get confusing for a “non-techie”.   In the article I cover the following popular services (all of which I’ve mentioned on this blog in the past):  Mozy, BackBlaze, SugarSync, DropBox, and iDrive.

As such, I bring you my latest eHow creation:  How to Choose Between Online Backup Service Providers.

I hope this article sheds some light on the differences between the previously mentioned Online Backup providers.  I also realize there are other providers as well, and if there is a strong outcry I can add them to the article.  As always, I’m available if you have additional questions or feedback – just leave a comment or Contact Me.  Thanks!
