GPS on iPhone: Navigon MobileNavigator

image If you’re an iPhone user, I saw some new software mentioned on Engadget that is well worth sharing: MobileNavigator for iPhone by Navigon.  I’ll admit I own a Tom-Tom, and frequently use my built-in “Sprint Navigation” on my blackberry, but this software is by far the coolest navigation software I’ve seen to date.

If you check their website, you’ll see some of the cool features:

  • “Reality View Pro” – this attempts to show you what the roadway ahead will look like, making it easier to navigate junctions and exits (see the screenshot)
  • “Lane Assistant Pro” – helps you plan ahead for lane changes
  • Access to addresses within your iPhone contacts
  • Audio/Visual warnings about speed
  • Portrait or Landscape format
  • The usual accoutrements:  2D/3D maps, voice announcements, intelligent address entry, day/night mode, “take me home” function, multi-language.

It comes preloaded with maps for U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, which is great if you’re a continental US traveler!   It appears there is also a European version (purchased separately via iTunes App Store), which could be handy if you travel overseas.

This one is definitely worth a look.  As always, Contact Me if you have questions!

Destination Wedding Planning!

Pink Shell Resort: Octopool by Pink Shell Resort. So this is my first ever blog post…

As i sit here and try to decide what should be the focus of this blog, i figure that pretty much anything is game. I will probably start with a little about my goings-on, but then also post many fo the fun things that I find out on the net. Hopefully it will help keep me organized and motivated, and possibly rub off on you a little as well!

As for post #1, todays topic is wedding planning! Yes, my fiance and I are in the process of planning a destination wedding. We’re looking at the following resorts:
weddingsFeel free to leave comments about your experience with any of them.

*UPDATE* My fiance and I took a vacation to visit a few of the resorts. It would seem we like South Seas the best, followed by Sundial. We were not impressed with the accommodations at Tween Waters (as it appeared overpriced for what you got). Casa Ybel was beautiful as well, but it didn’t appear their indoor reception facilities were big enough for the size of our guest list. More updates to this post later!
